About company

Adam Wood company was founded in the Netherlands, in the city of Haarlem. Haarlem is a small provincial town in the Netherlands. Despite being located in the heart of the Dutch industrial region, the city is situated in a very picturesque area near coastal dunes and the world-famous tulip fields. Haarlem, known as the "City of Flowers," is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands.

In 1986, Dutch designer Justus Vanderz, after extensive travels in Japan and China, was captivated by the Paulownia tree and opened a small workshop for producing furniture and interior items from Adam's wood. Following new trends in 2000, shutters began to gain popularity and high demand.

The company expanded significantly in this direction, opening large-scale production facilities in China, where the Tree of Life grows abundantly. Today, it is a major Dutch company specializing in shutter production, recognized for its quality worldwide.

Benefits of shutters

Interior shutters are beautiful.

They look more noble and elegant than the common blinds.

These products "set the tone" for the interior, allowing for minimal

cost to change the room's design.

They also have several practical advantages:

  • They enhance the level of sound insulation of the window structure

(acting as an additional barrier to outdoor noise).

  • They act as a barrier to sunlight, making the room more comfortable

for people and protecting interior items from fading.

  • They allow you to do away with curtains and drapes

that need to be periodically removed, washed, and re-hung on the window.

Opening methods

Modern manufacturers offer shutters with different opening methods:

1. Typically installed in narrow openings.
They are used relatively infrequently because they require enough
free space on both sides of the opening.

2. When installed inside the opening, they allow you to open only
   half of the window.

3. Some of the most popular ones, suitable for wide window openings.
They open in the vertical plane.

4. They open in the vertical plane and are used on compact
   single-leaf structures.

5. Ideal for outfitting tall, oversized windows.
They are also used in doorways.
